Having served as former General Counsel for the US Olympic Committee, Jeffrey G. Benz will speak at the University of Michigan Law School’s “Going for the Gold” Symposium which will discuss the various legal issues surrounding the world’s biggest sporting events–the 2012 London Summer Olympics. The Michigan Sports Law Society is sponsoring the day-long symposium on February 17, 2012 from 9am to 4pm with various professors, leading sports attorneys, and professionals on the panel.
Jeffrey Benz joined the Agency for Dispute Resolution’s distinguished panel of skilled peacemakers and creative problem solvers in 2011, to lead the sports mediation and arbitration group. Benz has extensive, overarching, and hands-on experience as a litigator, in house counsel, transactional attorney, outside counsel, and ADR neutral spanning nearly two decades of practice. Jeff’s dispute resolution career covers a vast area of complex business, insurance, sports, financial, commercial, regulatory, and technology and conflict issues.
