International Commercial Arbitrator, Jeffrey G. Benz recently served as a judge in the Fifth Annual Michael T. Thorsnes International Commercial Arbitration Competition hosted by The University of San Diego School of Law this past weekend, February 18-19. The Competition was set up as a simulated arbitration between two businesses, giving students an opportunity to extract issues as well as frame, organize, and develop arguments. With a diverse background working in London, Shanghai, Honolulu, New York, and Los Angeles, Jeffrey Benz served as a mock-arbitrator bringing his extensive international experience to the table.
Jeffrey Benz joined the Agency for Dispute Resolution’s distinguished panel of skilled peacemakers and creative problem solvers in 2011, to lead the sports and entertainment mediation and arbitration group. Benz has extensive, overarching, and hands-on experience as a litigator, in house counsel, transactional attorney, outside counsel, and ADR neutral spanning nearly two decades of practice. Jeff’s dispute resolution career covers a vast area of complex business, insurance, sports, financial, commercial, regulatory, and technology and conflict issues.
