Lynne S. Bassis, Esq. has joined the Agency for Dispute Resolution to lead the labor and employment mediation group. As principal of Bassis Mediation Group, a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators, a mediator certified by the International Mediation Institute and a National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals panelist, Bassis mediates at the Intersection of Law and Human Emotion. Bassis earned her Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, after receiving an A.B. in criminology from the University of California, Berkeley.
Combining rigorous legal analysis with the sensitivity required for employment, wage and hour (including class action), disability, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, intra-family, trusts and estates, professional liability and business disputes, Bassis is successful in bringing parties to settlement. As a conflict management design consultant, Bassis helps businesses and institutions manage litigation risk by reducing internal conflict before the conflict escalates and litigation ensues. As an educator, Bassis brings her extensive mediation and conflict resolution training expertise to the Agency to make her mark as creative problem solver and skilled peacemaker. Having mediated 1,500 cases during her career, Bassis draws upon a penetrating understanding of the law and our complex business world, alongside astute people skills and a sharp legal intellect, as she moves people from conflict to resolution.
