The Agency for Dispute Resolution is pleased to announce that veteran mediator, psychotherapist, and skilled dispute resolution trainer Judith Rubenstein, has joined our distinguished panel of neutrals. Judith has often been described as a peacemaker, problem-solver, teacher, and “Born Mediator.”
After a decade as a litigator in family law and business, Judith Rubenstein is now a full-time mediator having resolved thousands of complex disputes including family, probate, real estate, employment, business, and tort matters over her thirty-year plus career as a mediator.
In addition to founding the Conflict Management Institute in 1990, she also serves as a conflict management consultant, designing workplace conflict management systems for universities, schools, and corporations. Training thousands of mediators around the globe, Judith emphasizes the transformative aspect of conflict resolution through the practice of compassionate listening.
Judith Rubenstein obtained her Juris Doctorate from Columbia University, as well as a masters in Psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute and a Bachelors from the University of Michigan. Rubenstein’s unique background in law and psychology gives her a uncanny ability to work from both the legal and human dynamic perspectives. Recognizing the importance of mediation, she remains passionate about her calling as a mediator which fulfills her life-long commitment to bringing more peace to the world.
