Mark Morril

Having served as an advocate, corporate counsel, and neutral, Mark Morril has a fundamental understanding of the mediation process. Having previously served as general counsel for publisher Simon & Schuster and deputy general counsel at global media company Viacom for nearly twenty-five years, Mark Morril’s focus on case management resulted in significant efficiencies while achieving positive results in the company’s disputed matters. Prior to serving as a general counsel, he worked as a general commercial litigator in private practice at several firms in New York City, initially as an associate at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison and later as a partner at Greenbaum Wolff & Ernst, Hale Russell & Gray and Kay Collyer & Boose. His expertise extends to complex transactions, general commercial matters, legal issues relating to new technologies and the Internet and in numerous other areas of substantive law. As an independent arbitrator and mediator, Mark Morril focuses on complex commercial disputes. In resolving disputes, Mark Morril recognizes that ADR can save time and costs, bridge “insurmountable” monetary gaps, and facilitate innovative business arrangements for willing parties.
