Rosenberg, Steven

Steven Rosenberg, Esq.

A state and national leader in the field of mediation, Steven Rosenberg turned to mediation as an alternative to the present justice system and its frustrations after realizing that by combining his legal and interpersonal skills as a mediator, he could better serve the ends of justice. Rosenberg has mediated more than 1,200 disputes involving commercial, real estate, employment, probate, personal injury, and family law matters. Prior to becoming a full-time mediator, Rosenberg served as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps before opening his own private practice in Heidelberg, Germany and later in Kailua, Hawaii. Ultimately Rosenberg settled in Mill Valley, California where he ran his private practice for nearly two decades specializing in civil litigation and domestic relations. Today, Rosenberg is dedicated to the field of mediation as evidenced by his role as professor and his commitment to various ADR and legal committees. Rosenberg is also committed to helping others become skilled mediators, having trained more than 1,000 ADR professionals. In mediations, Rosenberg primarily utilizes a facilitative model to help the parties create their own solutions. By understanding not only the legal and financial issues facing the parties but the emotional barriers, Rosenberg is able to help the parties craft a durable resolution of their dispute.
