Jeffrey Benz will be teaching London course on Sports Law & Olympics at Pepperdine University

Beverly Hills, California - April 23rd, 2012.

Jeffrey G. Benz brings his background as a former U.S. Olympic Committee General Counsel and Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) arbitrator, to help teach a course on the Olympic/Sports Dispute Resolution. Alongside Professors Maureen Weston and Roger Cossack, Benz is co-teaching the course titled “Olympic and International Sports Law Dispute Resolution and Management” at Pepperdine’s London Campus during the month of July 2012. The course includes topics ranging from the NCAA, Olympic and European sports, arbitration/mediation, anti-doping, and eligibility issues to issues involving media coverage of disputes in sports. The course will be one of a kind and will combine daily lectures with visits to and from the leading sports organizations and players in the Olympic movement on the eve of the Olympic Games in London.

Jeffrey Benz, International Commercial Arbitrator, joins Beijing Arbitration Commission Panel of Arbitrators

Jeffrey G. Benz recently joined the Beijing Arbitration Commission Panel for Arbitrators. The Beijing Arbitration Commission (“BAC”) is a PRC-based not-for-profit permanent organization devoted to providing a forum for impartial and efficient alternative dispute resolution including arbitration and mediation to domestic and foreign parties. Focusing on both commercial and international contractual and property-related disputes, the Beijing Arbitration Commission has grown into the foremost arbitration commission in China. Jeffrey Benz joined the Agency for Dispute Resolution’s distinguished panel of skilled peacemakers and creative problem solvers in 2011, to lead the sports and entertainment mediation and arbitration group.
